Community Benefits
Community Benefit-sharing Program
We believe in sharing the benefits of renewable energies with the communities we operate in.
The Community Benefit-Sharing Program will provide significant, meaningful benefits to communities living around our Tchelery Wind Farm. This funding will become available once the project goes into operations and will continue for its 25+ year lifespan.
We are exploring the following options for delivering the Program and eagerly welcome community feedback & ideas to decide on the most suitable option. We will also consult with the local councils to seek their feedback and ideas on the delivery model and its implementation.

Community Legacy Initiatives
We will allocate funds to support local community projects in different growth areas (listed below) in collaboration with a Local Advisory Committee.

Community Benefit Fund
Funds are given to the local council, who allocate it to community projects. Council can opt out of this model in pursuit of the other delivery model.

YOUR IDEAS & feedback
Give us ideas & feedback on local needs that the project can support under this program.
Growth Areas

ARTS, CULTURE & EVENTS
Fostering creativity and connection in the community through art, culture & community events.

DISASTER RELIEF & EMERGENCY SERVICES
We can support communities impacted by natural disasters near our project site or to local emergency services groups.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
Addressing local skills development and adding value to educational opportunities

FIRST NATIONS INITIATIVES
We can allocate funds to local First Nations community for heritage conservation and self determined initiatives.

Aged care, health & wellbeing

For Your Community
Tchelery Wind Farm will bring a range of benefits to Moulamein and surrounding areas.

ARTWORK
Neoen, under its Sustainability Framework, has a commitment to create an artwork on all its projects with a capacity of over 50 MW. The artwork aims to celebrate renewable energy and local culture.
The Tchelery Wind Farm will also deliver an artwork commitment. Here is an example of an artwork design painted on a wind turbine at another Neoen project in Far North Queensland.
